When the Sky Becomes the Stage

Overview
Every year, Pahela Baishakh arrives the same way it always has. Music in the morning, colour in the streets, and a city that briefly forgets everything else. For generations, the celebration has been defined by what happens at ground level. But on the evening of April 14, 2025, two thousand six hundred drones lifted off from Manik Mia Avenue, and for fourteen minutes, the sky above Dhaka told a story that no balloon or firework ever could. It was the first drone light show of its kind in Bangladesh. And it did not happen by accident.
The Challenge
A drone light show at this scale is not simply a technology problem. It is a coordination problem.
Crostars Innovation, one of the world’s leading drone show performers, brought the hardware,
the swarm software, and the choreography expertise. But executing a live event of this
magnitude on Bangladeshi soil required something else entirely. Permits, logistics, airspace
coordination, ground operations, site management, and a local partner who understood both the
technology and the terrain.
Without that, the show does not happen.
Our Solution
ANTS was that partner. Working alongside Crostars, ANTS handled the full scope of on-ground
facilitation that made the Dhaka show operationally possible. Airspace clearance, site
preparation, regulatory navigation, local logistics, and real-time coordination between the
Chinese technical team and Bangladeshi authorities, every layer of local execution ran through
ANTS.
The formation splits, converges, shifts altitude, spells out motifs of women’s empowerment,
Bangladesh-China friendship, solidarity with Palestine, twelve stories written in light across the
Dhaka sky. What the crowd saw was art. What was underneath it was months of planning, and a
local team that knew exactly what it was doing.
Results
Thousands gathered at Manik Mia Avenue that evening. Notable figures including Chinese
Ambassador H.E. Yao Wen, senior government officials, and diplomats from across the world
watched from the ground as the sky did something it had never done over Bangladesh before.
The show ran for fourteen minutes. And when the last drone landed, what had just been
demonstrated was not only a celebration. It was a proof of concept.
Bangladesh no longer needs to look abroad to run a world-class drone light show. ANTS Aerial
